Maira, My Little Krishna: A Story of Love, Faith, and Manifestation

Why wouldn’t I believe in manifestations when I’ve already manifested my daughter, Maira, before even knowing the meaning of the word “manifestation”?

Maira, my four-year-old daughter, is living proof of the power of intention and prayer. Back then, I had no idea what manifestation meant. But now, as I look back, I realize that she is the result of my deepest desires and heartfelt wishes.

When I was three months pregnant, my sister-in-law shared something that stayed with me. She said, “If you want your unborn child to embody the qualities of someone you admire, pray for it from the heart, and your baby will be born that way.” Those words resonated deeply with me, and I decided to put them into practice.

During my entire pregnancy, I immersed myself in the epic tale of the Mahabharata. Every night, my husband and I would watch two or three episodes together. By the time Maira was born, we had completed the entire series. As I watched, I found myself drawn to Lord Krishna—his joy, his love for life, and his ability to spread love wherever he went. I didn’t know if I was carrying a boy or a girl, but I began to pray, “Whoever you are, my little one, I wish for you to be like Lord Krishna—full of life, love, and joy.”

I also thought of our beloved King of Bhutan, His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck. To me, he is a living god—a symbol of wisdom, compassion, and leadership. I would often say, “I want my child to be like our King, the best in the world and an idol to everyone, both in Bhutan and beyond.”

The day Maira was born was nothing short of magical. She arrived on July 5, 2020, sharing her birthday with her father and coinciding with Guru Purnima, a sacred Hindu festival celebrated on the full moon day of the Ashadha month. From the moment she entered this world, she was a bundle of joy, smiling endlessly and radiating love.

It wasn’t until I began my spiritual journey that I realized Maira was the result of my manifestation. Every prayer, every wish, every thought had shaped her into the beautiful soul she is today. Now, as I deepen my understanding of manifestation, I’ve made it a point to teach Maira about meditation, yoga, and affirmations. Every night before bed, she says her affirmations and whispers, “Good night, God,” with the purest heart.

Maira is my little Krishna, my little embodiment of love and joy. She is my living reminder that the universe listens, even when we don’t fully understand how it works. She is my greatest manifestation, and I am forever grateful for her presence in my life.
